Mycon Podship shot (Sega Genesis version)

The Mycon Podship is the second strongest ship in the Ur-Quan Hierarchy register, due to its Plasmoid weapon, which can be very damaging, if not totally deadly to Alliance ships (its enemy) at close range. It can hold a high amount of fuel, along with having a fast refueling speed, and its weapon range is very high, along with it also automatically tracking the movements of enemy ships. The Podship will not only automatically regain its crew after a battle if the opposing ship gets destroyed during a melee, but its special power allows it to regrow its crew if it sustains a loss.

Unfortunately the initial ship’s crew size is only fair, which, along with its turning speed being very slow, can put it at a disadvantage in a battle with a fast-moving Alliance ship. It can also be destroyed by its own weapon if it is launched and a fast Alliance ship runs circles around the Podship, causing the Plasmoid to follow the Alliance ship and possibly collide with the Podship. It also must use all of its available fuel to regrow its crew during battle, and the further its Plasmoid weapon has to travel to reach a target, the weaker it becomes.

The ship is also very costly to build during full games.
